Miraculous Experiences Series- ~ The Flowers Came ~

as I sat in the terrace window
I could see the tree blossoms
Ah its not really Spring but yet
there are flowers'
and then a little farther away
small white buds sprouted among
the creeper green on
the neighbour's wall
and this is just a small view
of Nature Grand
If we can understand'
and I quietly thought'
The Lord listens and sees all'
He must be looking and hearing my
prayers, would He show a sign?
Silly Me-who do you think you are
so near and yet so far'
a voice spoke but my faith
had strength and so I smiled
The flowers will come inside
and I will wait and not resign
That will be the sign...
Lo Behold as night came on
my husband returned
holding in his arms a large bouquet
flowers of the same hues
as outside the terrace window
and I got my sign and The Lord
promises truly the dues'
He is Most Gracious Most Merciful
Oft Forgiving  Loving and Beautiful
sweet scented flowers were inside
a wondrous spectacle
of truth love grace and joy
The Unseen Power  manifest in the Miracle

For Poets United Poetry Pantry # 195 ~ My Pine Scented Home Town,

My  Pine  Scented Home Town,
Abbottabad

          The last five miles are
           winding winding ways,
As the bus turns the corners,
I remember the winter days,
Home, home on the range
Reflecting autumnal grace,
Before you know, its
Behold ! the town itself, reveals,
At its own, the evergreen stature,
          The Spiritual Presence of Nature
Majestic melodious mountains,
Blow the Highlanders March,
of The Hundred Pipers.
As early as cool February
As fresh as is the month of May
When Spring awakes
and apple blossoms call,
Soft snowflakes greet you,
Sinking and vanishing, as they fall;
Serenity intense, beauteous nature
 crisp and pure
White and sure;
Oh! Let me feast my eyes
On the beauty of my town,
Breathe in the sweet smell of pine,
Oh! Let me live the truthful moments
While they are there
And let the freshness creep into my soul;

For Poets United ~ I Wish I'd Written This ~ Does Age Matter?

And I believed in you because
I loved you
as a charming human being
Knowledgeable attractive witty and quick
And I tried to bear with your weaknesses
Because we all have them and impress

And I believed in you because
I wanted to
For I could see the tremendous potential
In you as a creative enthusiastic loveable
Charming personality that
 The Almighty
Had made you.

And I believed you
That you knew so much more
than me
You could drive the car so perfectly
And examine the patients
 so expertly
as your learning taught you.

And I believed you that you would share
With me all
That I wanted to tell you
That I wanted you to learn
You could do so much more
In your profession

And I believed you when you said
I always say’ Help yourself’
And you planned your time
And tried to read every book
that came your way

and after meeting you I had hopes of
reviving my shattered faith and trust
In relationships
And I loved you because
I believed we could make it together
I gave you all the chance
And I  am still hopeful

That despite our age difference
We can still be happy with each other
And share  care and learning and achievements
And I am sure it will be so
Because I believe in You.

POETIC OCEANS: In Response to Poets United ~Midweek Motif ~ Happy Birthday ~ Pakistan

POETIC OCEANS: In Response to Poets United ~Midweek Motif ~ Happy Birthday ~ Pakistan

For Poets United ~Midweek Motif ~ In Two or More Languages

Fashions in Language

To be or not to be
'afashioned' in style and stand
to be grand or be appreciated by all in the land;
but who am I who will tell or know....
till I join the band or should I?
that is the question...how will the country know that
there are more people talented than meets the eye
there is another story to tell than the 'Love’s One'
there are some who serve and are thrown out
Hey, `You just leave`...what politeness what care
..but He is The Boss! So He can say;
But let not the Laws unjust unfair put you down
Move on!  The Earth is all green blue and a bit brown;
And there are fashions all around…I would say
Fashions in Gab
Fashions in Nab
Fashions in Dab
But most of All the Fashion in Language left me stabbed;
I am now from Madam Anjum Dar to M A D
(abbreviations of my name on one of my student’s assignment)

O’ to teach a language from native to the first
English is in Urdu  rather in Punjabi from Punjab
Milton says that ‘Eve offered the apple to Adam
Ve te fer kha lae ki karna ay gham, O Adam’
(so eat it then and why worry about it)
And so the teacher taught
Eve naik bakhte tu kehni ain te kha lene aan’
‘So I eat as so you say, what am I without my rib
I cannot even pray’
But it was Shaitaan’s  art of the gab so glib
He succeeded in persuasion of the fatal jib
Now love alike is ‘pyaar hi pyaar’
Repent repent forgive and pray
‘seedha raasta will only take you paar’
(straight path- paar-across heaven’s  bridge)
Chalo chalo siraat e mustaqeem
Life is real and is not but just a dream’
Zindagi haqeeqat hai khwaab nahi’
